Peaceful, Countryside Bed and Breakfast In Aberystwth, Ceredigion

Brynarth Country Guest House is nestled within the beautiful countryside in the foothills of the Cambrian Mountains, amongst some of the most stunning scenery in the Ystwyth Valley.

This 17th Century farmhouse and its barns have been tastefully and sympathetically renovated in keeping with Brynarth’s age and time in history. From cosy guest rooms bursting with character, a warm welcome from the log fires in the inglenook fireplace, a licensed snug bar, to the 2 acres of bluebell woods included within 8 acres of grounds and gardens. Whatever the season or weather it really is the perfect place to relax and unwind.

We are ideally located to visit the many attractions this area has to offer, including the beautiful Ceredigion Coastal Path, Devils Bridge Falls, the Vale of Rheidol Railway and the Ystwyth & Elan Valley. We are also close enough to easily enjoy the bustling coastal towns of Aberystwyth, Aberaeron and New Quay. For those guests who wish to see more of Wales but like to stay in one place, Brynarth is an excellent base for exploring not only Mid Wales but North and South Wales too.

Our comfy guest rooms are uniquely decorated with a traditional and homely feel, and full of character. Rooms 1 and 2 are situated in the main farmhouse with the rest of the rooms just across the courtyard in the Old Dairy Barn. Each room has a wonderful view of either the grounds and gardens or the surrounding valley and countryside.

All rooms are centrally-heated, have radio alarm clocks and hair dryers, tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary Welsh toiletries and Egyptian cotton towels. Rooms are serviced each day to make your stay as comfortable as possible. An iron and ironing board are available on request. Free WiFi is available in all of our bedrooms and in the guest lounge and dining room.

Breakfast is included within the price of your room and is served in our warm and welcoming Farmhouse Breakfast Room. All food is freshly cooked to order and we pride ourselves on offering as much locally sourced, fresh produce as we can, most of our eggs come from our own chickens!

In our guests’ lounge you can enjoy the warm welcome of the log fires in the inglenook fireplace. The exposed beams and old stone walls create a haven indoors - whatever the elements may be doing outside!
To enhance the evenings, there is a licensed ‘snug’ bar off the main lounge offering a good range of beers, wines and spirits. You can also enjoy table tennis, pool and darts in our games barn, here there is also a cosy TV lounge (Cwtch) with comfy sofas.

If you are planning a holiday walking in Wales, then look no further this area is a paradise for walkers offering numerous paths and bridleways, as well as more challenging routes to cater for the extreme walker, all within easy reach of Brynarth.

Cyclists can follow dedicated cycle-paths and byways that pass directly through this area and are free from heavy traffic with breathtaking views. You can join the Ystwyth Trail half a mile from Brynarth, this family friendly trail is traffic free with a gentle terrain. We also have secure storage to lock your cycles up at night.
