Peaceful, Countryside Bed and Breakfast In Wilney Green, Bressingham, Diss, Norfolk

A warm welcome awaits at Inglewood House, which has been recently extended taking full advantage of a number of eco-friendly technologies such as under-floor heating and low H2O radiators fed from a ground source heat pump powered by solar panels.

Situated down a designated ‘Quiet Lane’ in rural South Norfolk a mile or so from the village of Bressingham, we are in a hamlet of four houses just a mile from the A1066 Thetford-Diss road and 5 minutes from the world famous Bloom’s Steam Museum and Gardens. Inglewood House is set in half an acre and has views over unbroken countryside in all directions. You are welcome to sit or stroll in the garden and meet the chickens.

We have two double rooms with all the home-from-home comforts such as freeview tv, complimentary beverages: The Cream Bedroom has an en-suite wc & shower, The Purple Bedroom has a private bathroom with wc & shower.

The medieval city of Norwich with its Castle and Cathedral is 25 miles away with the Norfolk Broads, North Norfolk Coast, Gt Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Cambridge, King’s Lynn, Ipswich, Colchester, Sudbury, Lavenham & Constable Country all around an hour’s drive away.

There is a village shop in Bressingham and the market town of Diss, with its mix of small independent stores, restaurants, cafes and supermarkets is 10 minutes away by car. The Inter-City railway station offers travel from London in about 90 minutes.

Close by are Banham Zoo, Snetterton Circuit, Mid Norfolk Railway, St George’s Whisky Distillery, Fersfield Airfield (from where Joseph Kennedy flew as part of the ill-fated Operation Aphrodite), Old Buckenham Airfield (another of the many nearby ex-USAAF airfields, from where James Stewart and Walter Matthau flew) and the Dad's Army Musuem.

We are surrounded by an extensive network of local footpaths and we are also happy to meet walkers from Peddars Way, Boudicca Way & Angles Way long distance footpaths or the train at either Diss or Thetford station.
